I wouldn't want to be like Juliet.
Is a crush really something to die from?
I mean REALLY, they had just met,
It's so over the top, and VERY dumb.
And Romeo, PLEASE! What were you thinking?
Was your life only worth a pretty face?
You don't even think twice about drinking?
You never even got past second base.
All I can say is they were WAY too young,
They didn't know first love's not eternal.
They got high on emotion and they clung
despite hurdles, no matter how painful.
Romeo and Juliet, Romantic?
Or two manic kids whose end was tragic?

Competition
When one measures,
What are the things one should compare?
Should one measure?
It only adds to one's hauteur.
If only attention was shared,
There would be no need to compare,
Where one measures.
What are the things one should compare?
Should one measure?
It only adds to one's hauteur.
If only attention was shared,
There would be no need to compare,
Where one measures.

Response to #110

The exercise this time is on Transliteration above is the online translation of a poem in Czech and below is my response.
To Push
Is more or less
To ask yourself
How you can go on
When you're stuck
Going round about all year
Knowing that you're a slob
Reaching deep in your soul
To discover who
It is you want
To find in your heart
Waiting to be moved

Response to #109

Drawing on Emotion
Sometimes I think I am a stone
A person too simple to like,
I thought emotions were like froth
Surging up, not buried alone
Beneath infertile gound, I strike
With a shovel, yet can't sunder,
I can't even shoulder my phone
So I don't question what my psych
Brunt as it is says about me,
I wish I could be Hercules
Strong enough to feel what is me
